I'm offering today a precious Vintage Madame Alexander Doll by Lee Middleton sculpted by Reva Schick.  She is a larger doll measuring approximately 19".  She is soft vinyl with soft body which has joints for easy posing or laying.
I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description.  Starting at the top of her head, she has platinum blond hair which is cut into a short baby cut which frames her adorable face. Her hair is shiny platinum blonde in color with an under-swoop style.  She is wearing precious pink satin bows on top of two pony tails.  She has beautiful stationary bright blue eyes with meticulously hand painted eyelashes.  The eyes have so much depth and realism to them that you feel as though she wants to talk to you.  She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her rose bud shape lips. Her lips are painted pastel pink which are puckered and look ready to be kissed.  Her chubby baby cheeks have beautiful pink coloring.  The back of her neck is hallmarked:  "1999, Lee Middleton Original Doll, by Reva".  Lee Middleton passed away quite some time ago so Reva Schick now designs her dolls for the Middleton Doll Co.  Lee Middleton Doll Company made a short run of these doll for Madame Alexander Doll Co.. She is from 1999, which I'm sure by now has retired this doll.  I knew she needed to come home to me when our eyes met one another.  Her head, arms and legs are vinyl with her body being that of cloth.  Her body has the original "Madame Alexander" tag stitched into the seam.  Her body has no stains and I've kept her in very good condition without much handling over the years.
As most of you who follow me know, I pick their outfits based upon the way their faces look and what they speak to my heart.  With this precious face, I knew she needed to be in something pink.  As most of you know, pink is my favorite color and I tend to gravitate to it with blonde babies.  Therefore, I purchased this pink velvet top and bottom outfit.  The collar is peter pan in design with pink ruffles framing the edges of the collar.  The sleeves are long which also have pink ruffles framing each sleeve.  The rounded neckline frames her face beautifully.  The front of the velvet top has embroidery work which reads:  "A Wish Come True".  There are two tiny pink satin bows which top off a couple blocks; looks so sweet.  The pant bottoms are also pink velvet which come down to her ankles.  To top off the adorable outfit,  I chose this very full soft pink tulle tutu with lots of fluffiness.  This sweet baby is wearing custom made white booties with pink satin rosettes on top of each foot.
My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough.  My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy.  All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children.  Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll.  We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor.  My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new.   Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes.  If I've missed something it would never be intentional.

This is a larger baby doll measuring approximately 19" tall.
CONDITION:
This doll is in new condition.  She is vintage, but has been well cared for during my caring for her.  She is free of odors and ready to be displayed.  Her velvet outfit and tutu are new and were purchased for this doll.  It has never been worn by another doll.  Her booties were custom made for this doll.  The photos really tell the story about this doll.  She is a beautiful doll and a rare one to find in this condition.  Please view complete set of photos for thorough description.  I hope you can take a few minutes to look at my other dolls.  God bless you.  Connie
