Description
The loom was made by the owner of Pinkerton Looms of Seattle for his wife. It was pasted down to their daughter and she was the last one to use it. The following is from the granddaughter of the loom's maker:"My grandfather made it for my grandmother (he owned the loom factory : Pinkerton Looms of Seattle) and then my mother carried on the tradition. It was made in about the 1940 and still works beautifully."
It does have a weaving in progress on it now. The weaving width is 20”. Over all the loom is 30” wide, 50” high, and when in use it would be 39” in depth. It appears to have 4 harnesses. We have never had the time to learn how to use it but it appears to be in great condition. The box on top of the loom holds the tools that are shown in the picture. The Loom folds up to a depth of 25" that makes it easy to move. It could possibly be shipped but would need to go as truck freight. Would ship lying down/collapsed on a pallet. Please contact us if you are considering shipping. Will deliver free within 100 miles of Boston.
